Blog 7: Keep Investing Even You Cannot See the Yield

"In our lives, many things we have done are just in vain."  This is from a movie named You Are the Apple of My Eye.  However, I cannot agree.  After hearing some complains from my friends, I want to write something about pain and gain.
Everything has its own purpose, I believe that. Every single thing you have done or met can be a part of your success or a part of your failure.  A child who likes stealing candies may be a thief years later; The first aid skill you have learned in school may help you save a life in the future.  Some of us are doubting our efforts today, for we are not sure whether they are worth doing and we are afraid that what if we get nothing after striving for a long time.  But from my perspective, it will never happen like that.
We feel scared of darkness because we cannot see anything and cannot control the situations.  Likewise, we doubt our efforts only because they cannot repay our efforts in a short-run period.  However, in my opinion, they will, definitely, repay in a occasional way.  In the movie The Pursuit of Happiness.  Chris , a poor salesman, occasionally holds the attention from a manager by just finishing a magic square.  Coincidentally, that manager is playing a crucial role in his interview.  Eventually, he gets a important opportunity from the manager and finally succeeds in his career, which to some extant, starts from the magic square.  Who could predict that his success would be so tightly related with a little magic square when we see him playing it at home?
Just do what we think is right and never count the results and worry about them, and success will approach us in its own way.

  1. From my own experiences, I can also draw the same conclusion as yours. Sometimes we cannot tell whether it is meaningful to do some certain things; however, when I look back, I can find out that what I've done really had great impact on me.

  2. So you needn't worry about your English too much. The bad result is a kind of pain, which may turn into what you gain in the final.

  3. Each step we take is like a small piece of a jig-saw puzzle. We will not see the big picture until much later, but we do our best to live each day well, whether it is pain or gain. I believe all things work out for good to those who love God. He knows the big picture and we trust Him to lead us, step by step.
