On Tuesday, we hold an interesting class debate. All of us are divided into 4 groups except one time keeper and one chairman. My debate topic is that should women bring up a child alone because she does not want to get married. We are in the opposite part. At first, we think we have a little bit advantage because the situation may not be accepted by boys. However, the results are out of my expectation because we were defeated by the pros at the score 1:8, which was a surprising and amazing outcome to me. During our debate, we can be obviously divided into two parts—prepared and not prepared. We can easily find that prepared people were reading the article he or she got from the internet and the unprepared person were debating his opinion falteringly. Therefore, the performance was not good enough and maybe a little boring. But the most unacceptable thing is the outcome. I really want to know how does the judges assess the debate and what is the standard of their assessment?
