In the movie, Rose was a girl who loved arts very much, including the paintings of Picasso. However, her fiancĂ© cared about politics; her mother thought about making money; her friends knew nothing but luxuries. All these made Rose regard her rest of life as the most miserable, with diamonds, complicated relationships but no true happiness, kinship and love. She did not realize how desperately he wanted to escape from the so called “upper lives” until she met Jack, whose carefree attitudes towards life reminded her of the thirst from the bottom of her heart. In her life, she needed to be well-dressed, obey complex etiquette, and meet a lot people she did not want to but had to meet because she was born in a noble family but Rose sought for lives in which she could do whatever following her own will. As a result, she fell love with Jack and broke up with her fiancĂ©.
I do not mean to omit their true love; however, what is more important is the pursuit of simple but meaningful lives, which benefit us physically, mentally as well as spiritually. Many sought relief from KTVs, cinemas or even drugs to escape from the stress and the anxiety in modern society, in which we concentrated on how to keep in good relationship with business partners, how to get a job with a higher salary, how to find a spouse with a lot of money. The real aim for living, in contrast, it to be happy, which requires the pursuit of rich spirit.
Finally, I sincerely hope we can find our thirsts and try our best to lead the lives that we really want, as Jack said, make everyday count.
I agree with you. Besides this,I am also shocked by people's reaction towards the catastrophe, especially when there was only 1 boat went back to save the people after Titanic sank. Hopefully we may not come across such terrible things throughout the whole life, it is of essence for us to reflect on it and to have a better understanding of our human nature.
ReplyDeleteExactly! And did you notice the band that played for everyone untill the last minute? Their behavior reflected the true human nature.
DeleteI love Titanic, because the Music in it is very beautiful. By the way, thank you for entertaining us with the song "My Heart Will Go On"
ReplyDeleteSure~! Since you have fun, I feel happy~
DeleteIt 's good for you to think in a different way. Yes, the pursuit of life is very important. Some people pursue a simple and happy life and some may prefer to succeed in business. Have you ever seen Beijing Love Story? In this series, the protagonist has to make a choice between career and love. Finally, he chooses the former and gives up the latter. I think it is okay because everyone should make his or her own choice. However, if I were him, perhaps I will choose love rather than the career since I believe true love could only be found once in one's life. And hope all of us will find our true love in the future(for you, maybe not in the future. Haha). I am looking forward to watching Titanic......
